1. Our IPR Policy
This Intellectual Property Rights (“IPR”) Policy governs the ownership, usage, and protection of all intellectual property associated with HilandSEO, its platform, services, content, and technology. By accessing or using HilandSEO’s website, tools, or services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy. HilandSEO is committed to protecting intellectual property — both ours and yours — and we expect all users to respect these rights equally. In this policy, “HilandSEO,” “we” and “us” mean HilandSEO Technology Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, which owns and operates the HilandSEO platform.
2. Ownership of HilandSEO Platform & Technology
All intellectual property rights in and to the HilandSEO platform — including but not limited to the website (hilandseo.com), proprietary AI models, algorithms, software code, user interface designs, visual elements, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, domain names, and all related documentation — are and shall remain the exclusive property of HilandSEO and its licensors. This includes our proprietary AI content generation engine, SEO optimization algorithms, blog automation systems, WordPress and Shopify integration technology, SEO audit tools, and all underlying infrastructure. No part of the HilandSEO platform may be reproduced, distributed, modified, reverse-engineered, decompiled, disassembled, or otherwise exploited without prior written consent from HilandSEO.
3. Trademarks & Branding
The name “HilandSEO,” the HilandSEO logo, and all associated branding elements — including taglines, icons, page layouts, and visual identity components — are registered or unregistered trademarks of HilandSEO. You may not use, display, or reference these trademarks without prior written authorization, except as reasonably necessary to identify HilandSEO in connection with permitted use of our services (for example, stating that your content was optimized using HilandSEO). Any unauthorized use of HilandSEO trademarks — including use that is likely to cause confusion, imply endorsement, or dilute the brand — is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
4. Ownership of AI-Generated Content
One of the most important aspects of our platform is clarity around content ownership. When you use HilandSEO to generate articles, blog posts, product descriptions, or any other written content through our AI tools, the following terms apply:
4.1 Content You Generate — Once content is generated through your HilandSEO account and published or downloaded, you are granted full usage rights to that content. You may publish, edit, distribute, and monetize the content for your personal or commercial purposes without restriction. HilandSEO does not claim ownership over the content produced for you through our AI content generation tools.
4.2 License to HilandSEO — By using the platform, you grant HilandSEO a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use anonymized and aggregated data derived from your use of the service solely for the purpose of improving our AI models, platform performance, and service quality. This license does not include the right to publish, sell, or distribute your specific content to third parties.
4.3 No Guarantee of Exclusivity — Because our AI generates content based on learned patterns, publicly available data, and algorithmic outputs, HilandSEO cannot guarantee that content generated for you will be entirely unique or will not bear similarities to content generated for other users or content that exists elsewhere on the internet. It is your responsibility to review, edit, and verify all AI-generated content before publishing.
4.4 No Guarantee of IP Clearance — While our AI is designed to generate original content, HilandSEO does not warrant or guarantee that AI-generated content will be free from third-party intellectual property claims. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence — including plagiarism checks and trademark clearance — before publishing content in any medium.
5. User-Provided Content & Data
5.1 Your Content Remains Yours — Any content, data, URLs, brand guidelines, or other materials you provide to HilandSEO for the purpose of using our services (such as website URLs for SEO audits, brand voice training inputs, or existing blog posts submitted for rewriting) remain your intellectual property. HilandSEO does not claim any ownership over user-submitted materials.
5.2 License to Process — By submitting content or data to HilandSEO, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, analyze, and use that content solely for the purpose of delivering the services you’ve requested (for example, running an SEO audit on your submitted URL or rewriting a blog post you’ve provided). This license terminates when you cancel your account or remove the submitted content from the platform.
5.3 Responsibility for User Content — You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit any content or data to HilandSEO. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any third party.
6. Third-Party Intellectual Property
HilandSEO respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same.
6.1 Third-Party Integrations — HilandSEO integrates with third-party platforms including WordPress and Shopify. These platforms, their names, logos, and technologies are the intellectual property of their respective owners. HilandSEO’s integration with these platforms does not imply any ownership, endorsement, or affiliation beyond the technical functionality provided.
6.2 Prohibited Use — You may not use HilandSEO’s tools or services to generate content that knowingly infringes upon the copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of any third party. This includes, but is not limited to, generating content that substantially copies or paraphrases copyrighted material, using trademarked terms in a misleading or unauthorized manner, or producing content designed to impersonate another brand, business, or individual.
6.3 DMCA & Copyright Complaints — HilandSEO complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws. If you believe that content generated, published, or hosted through HilandSEO infringes upon your intellectual property rights, you may submit a formal complaint by providing your full legal name and contact information, identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, identification of the allegedly infringing content including its URL or location, a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature. Please send all DMCA notices to support@hilandseo.com or through our Contact page. We will review and respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law.
7. Restrictions on Use
In addition to the restrictions outlined elsewhere in our Terms of Service, the following intellectual property restrictions apply to all users:
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense any part of the HilandSEO platform, technology, or proprietary tools. You may not use automated systems (such as bots, scrapers, or crawlers) to access, extract, or replicate HilandSEO’s technology, data, or content. You may not remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary rights notices displayed on or within the HilandSEO platform. You may not create derivative works based on HilandSEO’s proprietary technology, algorithms, or user interface. You may not frame, mirror, or otherwise incorporate any part of the HilandSEO website into another website or service without written permission. Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and may expose you to civil and criminal liability.
8. Open-Source & Third-Party Libraries
HilandSEO may incorporate open-source software components and third-party libraries in the operation of our platform. These components are subject to their respective open-source licenses, and nothing in this policy is intended to limit or override the terms of those licenses. A list of open-source components and their applicable licenses is available upon request.
9. Feedback & Suggestions
If you provide HilandSEO with any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or recommendations regarding the platform or services (“Feedback”), you agree that HilandSEO may freely use, implement, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into our products and services without any obligation to you. By submitting Feedback, you grant HilandSEO a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the Feedback in any manner and for any purpose. You will not be entitled to any compensation or credit for Feedback that HilandSEO chooses to implement.
10. Enforcement & Remedies
HilandSEO takes intellectual property protection seriously. In the event of a violation of this policy, HilandSEO reserves the right to suspend or terminate the offending user’s account (any refund is handled under our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy), remove any infringing content generated through or published via the platform, pursue all available legal remedies including injunctive relief, actual damages, statutory damages, and attorneys’ fees, and cooperate with law enforcement authorities where appropriate. We encourage users to report suspected intellectual property violations to support@hilandseo.com or through our Contact page so that we may investigate and take appropriate action.
11. International Intellectual Property
HilandSEO operates globally and respects intellectual property laws across jurisdictions. While this policy is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as set out in our Terms of Service, we recognize and endeavor to comply with intellectual property protections under applicable international treaties and conventions, including the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT), and applicable regional and national IP legislation. Users accessing HilandSEO from outside Hong Kong are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local intellectual property laws.
12. Changes to This Policy
HilandSEO reserves the right to update or modify this Intellectual Property Rights Policy at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active subscribers via email. Continued use of the HilandSEO platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage all users to review this page periodically.
