Shopify SEO Services

Shopify covers the basics, but the stores we audit tend to lose rankings in the same places: empty collection pages, duplicate product URLs and heavy apps. We fix those, then build the pages and content your shoppers search for.

Where Shopify stores usually lose rankings

Collection pages with no copy

Category searches land on collections. We add a short intro, sub-collection links and FAQs through one theme module, without pushing products down the page.

Duplicate product URLs

Shopify can serve a product under /collections/…/products/ as well as /products/. We check canonicals and internal links so Google settles on the URL you want.

App and theme bloat

Many apps add code to every page. Heavy option and review apps can push the product title far down the HTML.

Filter and sort URLs

Filters can spawn thousands of crawlable URLs. We keep them out of the index and point links at real collections.

Copied product descriptions

Manufacturer text appears on every reseller. We rewrite titles and descriptions around model, material and use.

Several markets

Selling in more than one country? We check hreflang and market subfolders so each country sees its own language and prices.

What Google never sees

Google’s crawler reads the first 2 MB of an HTML file. On one store we measured, the H1 started 6.1 to 7.2 MB into each of the 12 product pages we checked.

The cause was an options app loading every option set into the page head.

Shopify SEO FAQ

How do I implement SEO in Shopify?

Start in Shopify admin: unique titles and descriptions, a clean collection structure and alt text on images. After that, most gains come from collection content, internal links and keeping theme and apps light.

Do I need an SEO app for Shopify?

Usually not. Most fixes are theme edits and content, and many apps add code to every page.

Will you change my live theme?

Only after you approve. Larger theme changes are previewed on an unpublished copy first.

How long does Shopify SEO take?

Fixes to indexing and page weight can show within weeks of Google recrawling. Collection and content work usually takes a few months to settle.
